South Korean currency slipped to a two-year low against the US dollar due to increased uncertainties

The South Korean currency fell on Monday to its lowest level in more than two years against the US dollar … in a climate of uncertainty over the trade war between the United States and China and the trade dispute between Seoul and Tokyo.
The local currency was changing hands at 12 cents 12 won on the greenback at 10:57 …, down fourteen out of six points since last Friday's close.
This is the first time that the US dollar exchange rate has exceeded the threshold of 12 cents won since January 11, 2017.
South Korean equities also traded lower on Monday morning as investor sentiment evaporated.
The benchmark KOSPI had plunged 38 points to 19 cent 60 points 33 to 11:07.
