Korean customs data suggests that the country's exports are about to fall for an eighth consecutive month.
During the first 20 days of July, they decreased by 14%.
Semiconductors, which account for nearly one-fifth of South Korea's total exports, dropped by 30 percent … and petrochemicals by more than 15 percent.
Overall exports to China and the EU fell to double digits and exports to the United States fell by 5%.
In July, semiconductors are on the verge of an even larger decline compared to June, while chip exports have dropped 25%.
