Six of the eight games initially scheduled will be played when the special competition of the Standards Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) comes into play Wednesday, the fourth day.
While the Zone A match between Stallions FC (formerly Wa All Stars) and Eleven Wonders has been postponed, the Zone B match between Inter Allies and Dreams FC has been scheduled for Thursday.
On Wednesday, in zone A, Kotoko hopes to win two victories in the wake by hosting Ashanti Gold in a high-level matchup at Kumasi's Baba Yara sports stadium. Porcupines currently occupy the lead in the area while Minors are in second position.
Moreover, Bechem United, two points behind Kotoko and one under Ashgold, wants to put himself in a good position to take advantage of the slightest defeat among the top two by beating Medeama in Tarkwa. Yellow and Mauves, meanwhile, are fifth on the table.
The Aduana Stars, fourth, have so far won a draw, a draw and lost the last of three games played. Outside of Golden City Park, the Fire Boys are looking to increase their number of wins when they face Berekum Chelsea, second from the bottom of the table.
In Zone B, Hearts of Oak, sixth, has everything to do against the Ebusua dwarves, having lost their last two games. The Crabs, meanwhile, occupy the last position after losing the three games played.
Emmanuel Addo, one of three tied players at the top of the scorers table with three goals each, will hope to extend his score when his Liberty Professionals team will face Elmina Sharks at Nduom Sports Stadium.
In Sogakope, the other two men on two goals – Kingsford Opoku Frimpong and Diawisie Taylor – will face off against third place, Karela United.
