Following the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) on January 1, 2021, the Ministry of Trade and Industry is hosting a business forum to brief members on implementations for business activities fluids.

The speech is called “Beginning of AfCFTA trade in Ghana: modalities of implementation”.

The event currently taking place at the Africa Trade House Auditorium includes speakers such as Minister of Trade Alan John Kojo Kyeremanten, Minister of Foreign Affairs Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Secretary General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, Mene Wamkele.

Meanwhile, the trade zone will be the largest free trade area in the world, bringing together 1.3 billion people and creating an economic bloc of $ 3.4 trillion.

The free trade area is seen as an essential action to bring Africa into a new era of development.

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will have 54 members of the African Union (AU).
