The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has announced that sections of the Spintex Road would shut commuters on Friday and Saturday to allow their engineers to achieve pipeline interconnection in the area in order to improve the business. water supply to the surrounding communities.

The sections of the road that will be partially blocked from 8 pm to 6 am on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th January extend from the Manet junction to the Frimps gas station on the Spintex road.

In a statement released Thursday, GWCL said it was determined to complete the job this weekend after failing to run the same project last week.

"The work will consist of cutting the road to lay new pipelines and connect to the existing 32-inch transmission line on the highway," said GWCL in a statement signed by its director of communications, Stanley Martey.

"The portion of the road that will be affected will be restored as soon as the work is completed.
