The "Spirit" jailbreak for iPad / iPhone is available for download from the development team. You can download Spirit here.
The free and unattached jailbreak is available for Mac and Windows and works with any iPad, iPhone or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3 or 3.2. It's a quick and easy process, with one click, according to QuickPwn, although the Cydia application is buggy. Just download the jailbreak software, plug in your device and your iPad or iPhone is instantly recognized. Press the "Jailbreak" button and you're done.
NoteBefore proceeding to a jailbreak, make sure that you have a backup of your SHSH blobs in order to be able to restore in 3.1.2 in case of problem. You can find a step by step guide of Redmond Pie here.
Spirit is not an unlocked operator (which allows you to use unauthorized wireless operators such as T-Mobile).
The development team strongly recommends syncing with iTunes before trying this jailbreak. If there is a problem, you will need to restore the device. This is particularly risky on the iPad.
Note: on iPad, all this is still a kind of beta. Some Cydia packages, not designed for iPad, can mess up your system and ask for a restore. Pay attention. (And no, the appearance of Cydia is not definitive.)
