Fans of the Victoria drama of Victoria ITV were looking forward to the return of the show to ITV tonight.
The fascinating monarch (played by Jenna Coleman) was about to be the subject of an explosive drama, because not only did her people revolt and march against Parliament, but she was introduced to Lord Palmerston (Laurence Fox), the new Secretary of Foreign Affairs.
The pair immediately found themselves in disagreement and Victoria struggled to contain her frustration at the politician's behavior and inappropriate comments.
The tragedy continued to rise as the poorest people prepared for their biggest protest to date, and in scenes of explosive denouement, Victoria faced a terrible choice.
Hordes of people piled up in front of Buckingham Palace and Victoria was thinking about how she would react when a brick flew through the window.
Victoria was then forced to tell her husband, Prince Albert (Tom Hughes), that she was going to deliver, which meant she could not escape the dangerous demonstration.
Today, London protesters gathered in the city center to protest against Brexit and campaign for a second referendum in the midst of negotiations between Prime Minister Theresa May and the European Union.
Viewers were surprised by saying that the situations were so similar and had trouble focusing on the drama that was going on throughout the episode.
Fans have flocked to Twitter to discuss the comparison.

A sixth added, "Wowzers, was not it timely? #signedbymillions #Victoria. "
Speaking of why she would like to raise her head up and continue plowing despite the troubles, Victoria told her husband, "Because we are English Albert. We can growl, we can protest … we are not revolutionaries. "
The monarch then told Albert that she would not "run away" despite increasing pressure from the population.
"The revolution is not a Victoria joke," said the prince concerned to his queen.
