Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, the chief whip of the minority, called on the Ahmadiyya Muslim mission community to use its Ahmadiyya Muslim TV channel (MTA) Ghana to spread the message of peace, solidarity, unity and development .
He urged the channel’s executives to use the media as a source to deliver credible information and news to millions of people across the country.
Alhaji Mubarak was speaking at the MTA’s inaugural reception held in Accra to open the channel’s studio to the public.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim community in Ghana has launched a new 24-hour terrestrial channel to broadcast the authentic and peaceful teachings of Islam.
The new channel will be hosted in the Wahab Adam Studio in Ghana, which was completed in 2017 and named in honor of the late Ameer and missionary in charge.
The world leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph) of Messiah and Mahdi, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad virtually launched the Channel on Friday January 15, 2021, from his base in the UK.
MTA Ghana Channel, which is patented by MTA International, is on the digital platform and will be available for viewing without the need for a satellite dish and can also be accessed through a normal aerial.
The channel’s programs will be produced from Wahab Adam Studios in English and various Ghanaian languages, including Twi, Hausa and others in the training and education of Ahmadi Muslims.
MTA Ghana will broadcast all of the Muslim community leader Ahmadiyya’s programs such as his weekly Friday sermon and other speeches.
“You will buy the lie for the truth and you will start to act with the lie for the truth,” Alhaji Muntaka said.
He expressed his commitment and dedication to continue to help and ensure that the country lives in harmony, peace and tolerance with each other for the country to progress and develop.
He said that as politicians they should present a different image of themselves than the people who elect them because some of the comments from voters about MPs were disturbing.
“Sometimes they think we’re at each other’s throats,” he says.
“We don’t have to be together only when we have a common goal or belong to the same religion. As long as we are all Ghanaians, we have to learn to tolerate each other, to deal with each other and to be able to see each other in the eyes, ”he added.
He said research in parliament showed that 84% of the time MPs agreed on issues and only 16% disagreed and that is what the media feeds on the most.
He commended the leaders of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community for their efforts to bring together all Ghanaians, regardless of their religious affiliations and differences.
Maulvi Muhammad Noor Bin Salih, Ameer and missionary in charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community congratulated the forerunners for paving the way for the establishment of the studio
He said that MTA Ghana, which would complement existing stations in Ghana, would integrate Islamic culture into every program produced and broadcast.
“We are going to use Islam to do exactly what others are doing but in a much better form because it will be informed by the Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet,” he said.
He said the station would ensure that the misperception of Islam created by some people of faith is corrected by presenting the teachings of Islam and its purity.
The Ameer and the missionary leader declared: “We will educate and inform humanity that Islam is alive and will continue to be so until the day of judgment.”
He said the Community should resort to using digital technologies to spread Islam without any acrimony.
“This is one of the main reasons for the creation of MTA Ghana,” he added.
He assured stakeholders that the Channel was poised to promote not only the activities of Ahmadis in Ghana, but also the activities of Shiites, Tijani among other religious communities of brothers.
Hafiz Maulvi Ismael Ahmad Adusi, the coordinator of MTA Ghana, expressed hope that the channel would serve a unique purpose in reforming human values and advancing the nation.
He said that MTA Ghana will feature content, in particular screened and adapted to respond to Ghanaian culture and ideological values as well as real values of Islam.
“It also aims to take care of the faith and morals of citizens,” he added.
