Sammi Awuku, the national organizer of the new Patriotic Party (NPP), congratulated St. Augustine's College for the new winners of the 2019 National Science and Math quiz (NSMQ).

Sammi Awuku pointed out that the success story of the Augusco students should not be lost in the memory of the young Ghanaians, as the school was the least ticked to win the trophy.

He was particularly impressed by the determination and courage shown by the contestants as well as by the enthusiastic support of the alumni of St. Augustine's College: "As human beings he it's not good to let our dark past obscure our future … "

Comment on "Kokrokoo" by Peace FMMr. Awuku felt that St Augustine's tenacity was proof of President Nana Addo's investments in education. It was therefore optimistic that the government's policy on free SHS was not in vain.

"The policy shows that Nana Addo Dankwa's free SHS offers equal opportunities to Ghanaian children. A typical example is that with St Peters and Tepa High School and Wesley Girls. If you check the result, Tepa outweighs Wesley Girls SHS.

"We sow a seed in the Ghanaian education system and in 8 years we will see the type of people we brew and it's the only way to beat our chest and say that young people are the future from this country. Education is the only way for the son of the charcoal seller and the manager of a bank to meet around the same table to share ideas and compete with them, "he said.

Mr. Awuku added that Ghana should give great importance to practical work by saying that "as we train our young people in engineering and mathematics, we as a ;practical aspect …"
