ILMxLAB's new Mixed Reality Experience for Lucasfilm's Magic Leap Headset will allow Star Wars fans to raise their own Porg, the adorable alien birds of their own. Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Project Porg follows in the footsteps of virtual animal sims like Tamagotchi and Nintendogs, asking you to take care of, feed and play with the digital Porg.
In the first trailer of Project Porgwe learn the configuration of the sim animal: Chewbacca left you an unspecified device, accompanied by a Porg, and a C3-PO message, which tells you how to take care of the Porg and his possible offspring.
The creators of ILMxLAB explain that feeding and feeding the Porg is designed to be like caring for any other pet. Vicki Dobbs Beck, executive manager at ILMxLAB, said players could take their virtual Porg "to public places, or even theme parks." Disney plans to open a new attraction on the theme of Star Wars, known as Galaxy's Edge, at Disneyland California and at Disney World Florida later this year.
