The State of the Union speech often features a special guest speaker, and this year was no exception.
Grace Eline was sitting next to First Lady Melania Trump on Tuesday night.
New Jersey, 10, was one of the people that President Donald Trump took the time to recognize in his speech.
Early on, instead of making a birthday present, Grace asked for donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reported NJ.com. Sadly, at the age of 9, Grace was diagnosed with a brain tumor, according to the website.

Although she had a rare form of cancer, Grace followed chemotherapy last year and "was declared free cancer in October," according to Heavy.com.
That did not stop Grace from trying to contribute to the fight against cancer.
On her tenth birthday in December, she organized a "dance-a-thon fundraiser" to raise funds for a charity that supports children with cancer, according to the Daily Record.
Trump recognized Grace in the middle of her speech.
"Grace Eline, a very brave 10-year-old girl, will join Melania at the gallery tonight," said Trump, CNN reported. "Every birthday since the age of 4, Grace has asked her friends to donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. She did not know that one day she could be a patient herself.
"Grace has recently completed her chemotherapy and now presents no evidence of the disease. She is determined to help other children who are battling cancer, "said Trump.
This is not the first time Grace has performed on a big stage.
While she was still being treated for her brain tumor, Grace was named honorary captain of the New York Jets for an NFL preparatory game, according to Heavy.com.
"Everyone who knows Grace would tell you that it's always been special," the White House said in a statement, reported by NJ.com. "Wherever she goes, she illuminates the room with her kind heart and contagious smile."
