You know Alexander Wang.
Earlier this year, several people came forward to accuse the fashion designer of sexual harassment and assault. You can read some of the allegations here and here.
In January of this year, Wang denied the allegations in a statement as “false, fabricated, and mostly anonymous allegations against me” – but tonight the creator released a new statement on his Instagram Story, agreeing to some responsibility for his past behavior.
“A number of people have come forward recently to bring complaints against me regarding my past personal behavior,” the statement began. “I support their right to come forward and have listened intently to what they had to say.”
“It was not easy for them to share their stories, and I regret that I acted in a way that caused them pain.”
“While we may not agree on some details of these personal interactions, I will set a better example and use my visibility and influence to encourage others to recognize harmful behavior.”
“Life is about learning and growing, and now that I know better, I’ll do better.”
Attorney Lisa Bloom – who represents 10 men who made allegations against Wang – also released a statement claiming that “My clients have had the opportunity to tell her their truth and have expressed their pain and pain. apologies from Mr. Wang and we move on. “
