Fast readings
While Olivier Giroud's playing time was limited under Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea, the Frenchman often had an impact each time he was given the opportunity.
Rare Thursday, Giroud once again played a key role in the campaign of the Europa League Chelsea by offering a goal and a help to victory 4: 3 on Slavia Prague.
We took a closer look at the striker's stats to see how prolific he was this season.
European form
Giroud has been directly involved in 13 goals in his last nine appearances in the Europa League, scoring 10 and badisting three.
His record in the competition this season scored a goal every 85 minutes, finding the back of the net with 27% of his shots.
The French international is an esteemed company – only Lionel Messi can match the 10 goals scored in the European competitions of the season.
And he is the first player to score 10 European goals for Chelsea in a single campaign.
Olivier Giroud on the lack of playing time. "Believe me, I am very frustrated not to be on the field but I do not want to show it. You must keep this frustration and turn it into positive energy. Trust me, I'm not happy to play the second role. " #CFC pic.twitter.com/FAF2TdzPTi

Game changer
When Giroud contributed this season, he made a decisive impact.
His first goal of the season, far from BATE Borisov, was the only goal of the game as the win secured Chelsea's place in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
When PAOK went to Stamford Bridge the following week, Giroud put Chelsea on the right track with a brace in the first half, the Blues having finally lost 4-0.
In his 500th career game, the Frenchman had a great free kick to level the ball against Vidi, before scoring a decisive goal in Malmo in the 32nd.
He signed his first hat trick at Chelsea in a 5-0 win over Dynamo Kiev in the return leg of the round of 16. in the quarter-finals.
League form
The statistics of the World Cup winners in Chelsea's Premier League campaign are out of all proportion to those of his team in the Europa League.
Having played 802 minutes in the league, he scored only two goals against Tottenham and Brighton, and also provided four badists. This gives Giroud a record of being involved in a goal or badisting every 133.6 minutes of the Premier League of the season.
Although this is a modest record, it still exceeds that of other "natural" Chelsea centers this term (ignoring Eden Hazard).
Alvaro Morata scored five goals and zero badists at a pace every 188.6 minutes, while Gonzalo Higuain's record was three goals and zero badists at a pace every 254 minutes.
Although Giroud has played in 24 Premier League matches this season, he was only one of the starting liners for seven of those matches.
However, the 32-year-old has played nine of his 11 games in the Europa League.
Impact of Eden Hazard
Giroud's impact on Hazard every time he started in the Premier League has been staggering this season, with the help of a center of offense looking to get the best of Chelsea's star player.
In the seven Premier League matches, Giroud started, Hazard scored six goals. This means that 37.5% of Hazard league goals this season came from Giroud, despite that this occurred only at 21.2% of Belgian games.
After Giroud gave Hazard two badists in a 4-1 win over Cardiff City, Real Madrid's target said: "Olivier is a target man, maybe the best in the world, I think so.
"When he gets the ball, he can hold it and we can deepen it, so for us it's a pleasure to play with him."
