Stephen King's TV series The Dark Tower presents EastEnders star as Gunslinger

EastEndersJohnny Carter leaves the deadly drama of Albert Square to confront the dark forces created by Stephen King.

Amazon Prime Video has spent the last two years transforming the author Dark tower books in an episodic series of real action in collaboration with the former Walking Dead Chief Glen Mazzara.

After all this time, there is finally news of the casting. according to Weekly entertainment, EastEndersSam Strike, former actor of Johnny Carter, will play the lead role as Roland Deschain.

The heroic traveler, also known as The Gunslinger, was portrayed by Idris Elba in the film-critical version of King's books. As in novels, the show should follow its quest towards the mystical tower.

Getting the role of The Gunslinger is probably the biggest job so far for Sam Strike since he left Walford in 2014.
