Raheem Sterling has mysteriously erased a tweet after insubstantially suggesting that Manchester City could bring Borussia winger Dortmund Jadon Sancho back to the club this summer.
The teenage star of England has made a name for itself in the Bundesliga this season with dazzling performances for Dortmund, who has signed a deal of outstanding value of £ 8 million in the summer of 2017.
This led to speculation linking Sancho to a mbadive transfer to the Premier League this summer, with reports suggesting Manchester United faces a showdown of more than 100 million pounds with PSG on his signature.
United is said to be ready to pay the largest transfer fee ever paid by a Premier League club this summer to make the talented 18-year-old British player the most expensive English player in match history.
SanchoThe value now exceeds £ 100 million – more than the world record of the time, which United had paid to return Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016 and almost double the £ 53 million currently paid by the company. 39; Englishman Kyle Walker – Englishman at Man City of Tottenham.
However, City initially refused to sign the Dortmund player if he decided to cash in, which resulted in a cheeky tweet from Sterling, the duo uniting for England's duty this week.
Sterling, joking that he was acting as an agent trying to bring the winger back to City, wrote: "So you have a buy-back clause? #AgentRaz in use
However, the tweet was quickly removed because Sterling was clearly better, or even was advised to delete the message.
Sterling, meanwhile, revealed how Sancho quickly caught his attention during a first workout at the complex
"The first day I saw him train with us, I was really happy to see such talent," Sterling said. Sport360. "I always knew he would become the player he has, for sure. From the first minute.
"I was playing in the back sometime during pre-season practice and he spun and I almost did it."
Dortmund, however, does not seem in the mood to receive offers for his latest badet.
"I'm far from putting a price on Jadon," said athletic director Michael Zorc on whether his team would accept a £ 100 million approach from United. "But I say that even the biggest clubs in the world can hardly afford to transfer it for the moment.
"Jadon will play for Borussia Dortmund next season. We are definitely planning with him.
"I am also aware that the efforts – especially of English clubs – to sign it will be stronger and stronger as he continues to play this way.
"He will certainly not play in Dortmund until the end of his career. This is also part of the truth. But for the summer, I'm pretty sure the players we want to keep will stay with us. "
Former USA winger Andrei Kanchelskis recently said Sancho would be a perfect fit for his former club.
