Well it was fast: last week we posted on the Steve Jobs in the Carbonite case for iPhone, and joked that Apple's letter Cease & Desist was about to be. And in fact, indeed it was. Greg Koenig, the case designer, wrote on his Studio Burb page on April 27:
Well, it was really nice the time it lasted. Yesterday, Society6 received a notice of termination and withdrawal from Apple's lawyers. I am sorry to say that the cases and skins are no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience.
As one could expect, the case has already occurred on eBay. Initially $ 35, current auction prices are averaging around $ 50 and a couple is already $ 150. It's a piece of decent change for a small piece of plastic, but it looks like it's a real collector's item now. One with a smart photo skin.
