Stop telling Nigerians lies, representative blows up Lai Mohammed

The deputy representing the Federal Ethiope constituency in the House of Representatives, the Honorable Ben Igbakpa, insulted the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, to stop telling “lies to Nigerians”, in the exercise of his official duties.

The lawmaker also described as disappointing the statements of the minister for the defense of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying: “He is only lying and is even creating problems for the current administration.

Speaking to Vanguard yesterday, the lawmaker said, “I’m surprised when people take office they forget they’re coming from somewhere and act like they’re never leaving the office.

“I’m sure if the minister were to be on the other side, he won’t speak the way he says because all the things he says are crazy and unpatriotic.

“Patrotism is not about standing by the president’s side. It’s about defending the people and the Constitution, but the minister’s statements have been very, very disappointing lately.

“I remember when he was on the other side against former President Good Luck Jonathan bitten today he seems to be eating his vomit.

“To me his recent statements make no sense and I simply choose to ignore him because he does not give Nigerians the reason he was appointed Minister of Information. Nigerians are finding out the truth and spreading the positive activities of the government he represents.

“But for Lai Mohammed, he doesn’t do any good, maybe because there isn’t much to show and the other thing is that he’s just telling lies, he’s even trying to create problems because some of his statements are not political and very disappointing.
