The return of Stranger Things to Netflix was very popular, with the third installment beating the streaming service viewer records.
According to Netflix, more than 40 million households watched the show during its first four days, with 18 million and more having already completed all eight episodes.
Netflix has recently started sharing viewing figures.

Eighty million people watched the horror thriller movie for four weeks.
Umbrella Academy, a dysfunctional family of superheroes, had 45 million viewers in its first month – the highest number in a first-quarter series of 2019.
Stranger Things 3 has almost reached this figure in one-tenth of the time.
The numbers are the number of households who viewed the series, which differs from the total number of people who actually saw it.
Netflix says that it counts a view when someone has watched at least 70% of an episode or a movie.
When they see us, the drama series of Ava DuVernay on Central Park Five, wrongly convicted, was announced as the most watched series by Netflix in the United States after its release in May.
But Netflix measured that by using a different method – saying it was the most watched series ever since it was first – which is different from the number of "households" in Stranger Things.
Stranger Things – which follows a group of children in a fictional 1980s Indiana, full of supernatural events – is one of Netflix's most critically acclaimed and culturally unique series since its release in 2016.
He helped launch Millie's careers Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard and introduced a new audience to Winona Ryder.
With its seemingly so high number and fans moved by the way the third series ends, do not be surprised if there is still much to come from the city of Hawkins.
