Gomoa Chief Adzintem called on the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) to increase the visibility of the police to help tackle growing crime in the region.
The appeal comes after a 13-year-old girl was gang raped by herdsmen in the community.

Addressing the rape case, he hoped the IGP would help bring justice to the 13-year-old’s family.
The 13-year-old girl was gang raped a few days ago.
She also suffered cutlass injuries after initially resisting her attackers.
The girl’s father also suffered cutlass injuries.
Meanwhile, some 14 shepherds were arrested in connection with the alleged desecration.
They were recovered during a special police operation conducted by the Formed Police Unit (FPU) with staff from the Center-East Regional Command on Friday, August 27, 2021.
