WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 News) – Several students, teachers and community members have rallied to support cancer awareness by shaving their heads on Monday afternoon.
A press release issued by Sandy Riesgraf, director of communications for Jordan's school district, said that after hearing the story of a brain cancer teacher and talking about In its campaign to find a cure, students at Copper Hills High School decided to find a way to help.
"Members of the National Honor Society have launched a fundraising campaign called" GrizzliesAgainstCancer "in hopes of raising several thousand dollars for St. Baldrick's, a national non-profit organization that funds research to find treatments for children with cancer, "said Riesgraf.
