'Suits': Patrick J. Adams reappearing as Mike Ross in Season 9

Patrick J. Adams is back in the skin of Mike Ross: the actor will resume his role during the ninth and final season of Suit.

Adams will appear in episode 5 when his alter ego will end up "getting involved in a case against Harvey and Samantha," executive producer Aaron Korsh told Deadline. "He does not know exactly that Samantha will be involved on his return, but he knows that Harvey will do it." In addition, there will be "fun scenes and scenes of emotion with Mike and the old gang." He will interact with more than Harvey and Samantha.

"I could not be happier to be part of the last chapter of Suit", Enthuses Adams. "My family of viewers has missed me and I can not wait to see what kind of problems Mike Ross can create in the company one last time."

Adams was last seen in the season 7 finale, where Mike and Rachel (Meghan Markle) got married and left New York to run their own business in Seattle. During the Television Critics Association's press tour in January, Korsh hoped that Adams would return during the swan song, but said that Duchess Markle's chances of reissuing her role as Rachel were "almost close to zero."

As to whether Adams will participate in the series finale, even if nothing is official, Korsh told Deadline that his new role as an astronaut, John Glenn, in the upcoming National Geographic series The good stuff would not interfere with a potential final cameo.
