A Lancashire office worker is literally half the man he was, after losing a whopping 17 kilograms.
Craig Moody, 42, of Blackburn, decided to transform his life and his diet when, at age 33, doctors told him that he was eating himself to death.
Before waking up, Craig had refused to listen to the warnings of his friends and family – the "human trash" she herself avowed had the habit of snacking on 8,000 calories "of takeaway a day and by a dozen pints of beer each weekend.

Speaking of his teens, Craig said, "I would go out every Friday and Saturday night and I would easily drink eight pints and eight alcopops on both nights.
"I probably drank 30 glbades each weekend for about six years, I did not know what it would do to my body, it was just the thing to do with my friends."
Every night, cheese chips, pizzas or hamburgers were to be taken away and, in the meantime, he nibbled on chocolate and sweets – a lifestyle he pursued until his thirties. By the time he was 37, Craig's weight had risen to 25 stones.
Although his waistline widened and his self-confidence decreased, the office worker said he had buried his head in the sand. Over the next five years, he put eight extra stones and continued to gorge on junk food in the privacy of his home.

Only when he was hospitalized because of edema last year, when he had a frank discussion with a nurse who told him that his days were numbered, that the food lover 6XL decided to finally give up junk food.
He said: "The nurse told me that I was very fat and very obese. He told that in his work he remembers that two men like me had died. said I was as fat as them.
"When a nurse tells you that, it really hits home.
"I immediately made a conscious decision, the penny went down and I had to lose weight, and I thought I could not go on as before, that made me very scared.
"When I was still in the hospital, I ordered a salad and fruit on the menu. I was determined to start immediately."

Craig took a flake diet of his at 1,500 calories a day for breakfast, an egg salad and fruit lunches, as well as a dinner consisting of fish with vegetables or salad.
In addition to reviewing his diet and making healthier choices, Craig built a home gym where he trained six times a week.
And the hard work has paid off. Incredibly, in less than a year, he lost 17 pounds, went from 6XL to an XL and swapped his 58-inch pants for fitted 38-inch jeans.
"I feel like a new person, I have a completely new wardrobe and it's second nature for me to be active," added Craig.

"I want to live my life to the full and I'm proud of myself, I want to pat myself on the back because I've done something about it."
Damn, buddy, you deserve all pats on the back for such a feat. Craig said that he would continue to adopt a healthy lifestyle and that he was hoping to reach the $ 14 threshold in the near future.
