Barima Twereku Ampim III, the supreme leader of the traditional zone of Ntotroso, says that effective support of government efforts by traditional and religious leaders is key to the rapid development of the country.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghanaian News Agency on Wednesday in Ntotroso in the Asutifi North district of the Ahafo region, Barima Ampim III said that every Ghanaian living under the jurisdiction of a traditional authority should bring its support for government and religious groups.

“Government alone cannot do everything to transform the nation, so the contribution of every Ghanaian is essential and this can best be achieved through the vigorous and continued involvement of traditional and religious leaders,” he said. .

According to Barima Ampim III, traditional and religious leaders have high esteem and the greatest respect among the population.

On this basis, he urged the leaders to use their influence to influence national peace and progress to curb illegal activities that could derail national progress.

He said traditional rulers must strengthen their role in supporting the government’s fight against illegal mining operations and chainsaw to protect the environment.

Barima Ampim III called on religious leaders to campaign against moral degeneration in society to ensure the country has responsible future leaders.
