When & nbsp;America's Got Talent: The Champions & nbsp;announced that they were reporting past winners and finalists from international franchises, there was one star that shone brighter than the others. Susan Boyle, perhaps the greatest success of one of Got Talent's franchises, surprised the audience for the first time with an unforgettable rendition of "I've dreamed a dream." His return to Champions & nbsp;stems from an outstanding career: seven studio albums (with an eighth coming), two Grammy nominations, and this first audition currently has more than 11 million views on YouTube. Susan's return to the Got Talent stadium for this season has raised expectations and has been up to par – winning the first buzz of the season and reaching more than 10 million viewers. The road has been long for the opera singer, but it is clear to all who watch her that she retains all her initial humility and grace that conquered the audience in the first place. With all the excitement of AGT, Susan is preparing to release her eighth album titled "TEN," which is currently available for pre-order. I recently corresponded with Susan on the feeling of returning to the series that made her famous and on what was waiting for the singer.
Forbes: What does it mean for you to come back and participate in America's Got Talent: The Champions?
Susan Boyle: It was fantastic to come back to America and participate in "America's Got Talent: The Champions". The very first trip I made to America was to play as a guest on "America's Got Talent", so being part of the competition was very entertaining and it was an honor to To be invited. The British artist Got Talent has changed my life for the better and I thought it would be fun to come back and try to win a contest. I never won a singing competition, I'm still second, but my second place definitely changed my life in 2009.
F: What are the differences between AGT and your first participation in the UK Got Talent Tour?
SB: Well, in 2009, I had everything to prove, I really wanted to make a career in singing, so the pressure I imposed myself to try to achieve this dream was immense. This time, I had a wonderful career, I traveled the world in a successful way and that's what I did for fun and as a personal challenge. It is healthy to challenge yourself and I love competitions.
F: Were you surprised not to win the BGT after the celebrity of your audition?
SB: I was not surprised, the diversity that won was brilliant. I imagine you could say that I was disappointed, but only because I saw it so desperately as an opportunity to pursue the career I was dreaming of. I was not really aware of the audition clip's reaction, because I did not have a computer or internet at home, I was just told, but I took it with a pinch of salt. I knew that this caused a small reaction because of the news crews that crisscrossed my little street but I never fully realized the impact I had created at that time. Now I am fully conscious and it all started because Ashton Kutcher tweeted my performance, I have a lot to thank him! But ten years ago, I focused on my best performance on the British film Got Talent.
F: & nbsp; What's your favorite activity you've done with the Got Talent franchise?
SB: & nbsp;My favorite thing? Well, there have been so many! I played for the pope, I met and sang with the hero of my childhood, Donny Osmond. I traveled the world playing and meeting great people. I was very fortunate and I am extremely grateful to Simon Cowell and Got Talent for giving me the opportunities and the wonderful career I have had and are continuing.
F: & nbsp; How did you feel about approaching the final?
SB: & nbsp;I'm excited! I play "I Dreamed A Dream", the song that triggered everything and played alongside other remarkable talents. Why not be excited? This is good.
F: & nbsp; What's next for you after AGT? Would you come back for another version of the All-Stars show? Do you ever want to do another reality show?
SB: & nbsp;I would only have Got Talent. I would never want to be in a jungle, on a survival show or in Big Brother, so no, you would not see me doing another series of reality shows. I am incredibly faithful to Got Talent because they have completely changed my life for the better.
What's next for me? Well, Champions is just the beginning of an exciting year. I just announced my new album, TEN, which will be released in May of this year. It's a collection of my favorite tracks from the last decade and four new songs never heard before – let me keep a surprise! I am a lady of surprises and there are very few surprises left today. That's why I want them to remain secret: give your fans something hoped for.
I will make more trips, more performances and it is also about an American tour later this year …. so watch this space. It's very exciting and I can not wait. Bring it on!
Susan's next album, TEN, is currently available for presale.
