A tragedy took place in the wee hours of Tuesday, April 16, at Amanful West, in Takoradi, when a man who had burst into a lodger 's living room had told him that he was n'. had gone there only to take a nap.

According to the alleged thief, he intended to continue the trip in which he had embarked on the night after waking up from his nap.

The suspect, 37-year-old Yusif Cobbinah, allegedly infiltrated the room to fly around midnight, while there was a total blackout in the entire Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis.

"I heard an unusual sound in the room that woke me up, only to see an image lying flat on the floor," said the tenant, Anthony Atobrah, during the morning show Omanbapa of Connect FM.

"I then started shouting to draw neighbors to the scene, but feeling the danger, the suspect began to struggle with me and in the ensuing fight, he almost threw me to the ground the top floor of the two-storey building nearby, "said Mr. Atobrah.

When the tenant questioned the suspect about what he was doing in the room, he said that he was traveling, but due to reduced visibility, he wanted to take a nap before continuing his trip.

With the help of Assembly member of the region, Charles Kweku Danso, the suspect was subdued, arrested and sent to the police station of the market circle.

At the police station, the suspect was identified by the police as a very notorious thief.

He has since been detained and will soon be the subject of a lawsuit.
