“They were young people, but you could see that they were very intoxicated. They seemed slow and sleepy and communicated in Hausa but I started to hear Awudu so I guess one of them is called Awudu. One of them was masked but the other two were not and they stayed there for almost an hour. They locked me in a room and did all kinds of things around the house. They came back 30 minutes later and threatened to kill me or take my one-year-old son if I didn’t give them more money; they had taken the money earlier, ”said a victim of the theft.

I heard a noise around 1am and went downstairs when I saw the tenants gathered, so I asked what had happened and that’s when I was told said he had been attacked and killed, ”said a neighbor of the deceased. Citi News.
