Sylvester Stallone can not help but go back to the well of his iconic 80's characters. Rocky Balboa appears to offer sound advice in the Creed John Rambo can not stop helping people by resorting to mbadive violence and, speaking at a question-and-answer session in his honor in Cannes, Stallone hinted that he wanted to transform the 1986 crime thriller Cobra in a TV series streaming.
Cobra, adapted by Stallone himself from Paula Gosling's novel, the film finds Sly incarnating Marion Cobretti (the name alone probably would not want to fly today, for fear of making fun of), a cop who places the "hard "to" hard against crime ". It must protect the only surviving witness from the activities of a strange deadly cult.
Stallone asked a member of the audience at the event to talk about the film's legacy. "This [conceit] was, "And what if Bruce Springsteen had a gun?" It was a rock'n'roll and a drama. That should have been another franchise because this character was so cool, "he says. And I ruined everything. My personal life was an obstacle. But we try to bring it back as a television series in streaming. Take out the team of zombies. I left a long time ago, but the idea is really good. "The character may not appear, but his motivation and a team acting in his style would surely be a fascinating concept to explore in a world where police brutality is under the microscope and violent." Crime is on the rise again .
Stallone did not offer any other details (so it is clear that no agreement has yet been signed), but we will wait to see if anyone sees it. For more Sly, head to Deadline. And if you have never seen Cobra (or need a reminder), see the trailer below.
