Police investigate the disappearance of girls' parties found in the sewers
Representatives of the West Regional Police Command met with the families of the three abducted girls in Takoradi.
This meeting takes place one day after the police investigated the disappearance of girls discovering human elements in the sewers behind the home of one of the suspects.
The three girls are Priscilla Blessing Bentum, Ruth Love Quayson and Priscilla Kuranchie.
The meetings were to formally inform families of the operation that had led to the recovery of the remains of a septic tank behind the suspect's home, Sam Udoetuk Wills, in Kansaworodo on Friday night.
"We are here to visit the family on the IGP directive because the police department wanted to properly manage the information of the operation, so we did not inform the families. Our plan was to properly inform the families when we are certain of the outcome of the operation but that the media has disseminated the information, "said the commander of the West Regional Police, Redeemer of the DCOP, Vincent Dedjoe, at Priscilla Kuranchie's.
He also asked that families be waiting for DNA samples to be taken.
"The police have recovered human parts from the septic tank after the water has been pumped and it will definitely return to the families with the result. However, we will soon invite you to Accra for your DNA samples. "
Police had stated in an earlier statement that human parts extracted from the septic tank would be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for further badysis.
Alex Kuranchie, Priscilla's father, said he was very surprised by the evolution of the day on Friday.
"I did not expect to hear this information, so it's a surprise for me," he said.
The Redeemer DCOP Dedjo was accompanied by the Regional Police Officer, the Regional Crime Officer, the Takoradi Central Police Station and about twenty police officers.
After the visit, Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie's father, Alexander Kuranchie, told Citi News that they were ready to cooperate with the police, but were certain that the remains would not be those of their children.
