President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo announced that the construction of the Tamale interchange is 80 percent.
Mr Akufo-Addo said this when he inspected asphalt paving work on sections of the road network in Tamale as part of his two-day visit to the northern region.
He has commissioned a number of projects, including the Savelugu 1-District-1-Factory GH ¢ 7.3 million rice processing plant; commissioned the GH ¢ 6 million Savelugu technology solutions center
After his visit, Mr. Akufo-Addo wrote in a Facebook post that “Saturday August 7, 2021 I completed my 2 day working visit to the Northern region, with visits to Tamale, Savelugu and Tolon.
“Among other things, I inspected the work in progress on the Tamale interchange, which is 80% complete; inspected asphalt work on sections of the road network in Tamale; commissioned the Savelugu 1-District-1-Factory GH ¢ 7.3 million rice processing plant; commissioned the GH ¢ 6 million Savelugu Technology Solutions Center.
“I also paid a courtesy visit to the supreme chief of the traditional area of Tolon, Major (retired) Sulemana Abubakari; and inspected the work in progress on the 30.2 km section of the Tamale-Daboya road, which is expected to be completed in November 2023.
