Police in the northern region claim to have arrested "people of interest" in connection with the killing of a female officer on the Tamale-Kumbungu road.
The suspects were recovered in Tamale, according to a statement from Northern District Police Command Public Relations Officer DSP Mohammed Tanko.
"One of them (undisclosed identity) was injured during his arrest and currently admitted under surveillance in response to treatment. Investigations are underway to try to establish their involvement or not in the murder, "the statement added.
At the same time, the police appeal to the public to continue to voluntarily disclose information that could lead to the arrest of other people related to the crime.

The gunmen who were supposed to be the occupants of a vehicle took out their weapons and shot at the police after stopping the vehicle for checks.
Agatha died on the spot, while some of her injured colleagues were treated and discharged.
