Lyon star Tanguy Ndombele has dealt a heavy blow to Manchester United after confessing his interest in Tottenham in a climate of uncertainty about its future.
The Frenchman seems ready to leave Ligue 1, but no movement has been made. He seems to have taken matters into his own hands.
The two Premier League clubs would dispute the signing of the midfielder, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wishing to enter the framework of its reconstruction.
Ndombele would add steels to United's usually soft midfield and given Paul Pogba's public desire to leave, the need to sign him is even more desperate.
Ander Herrera has already gone on a free transfer and Marouane Fellaini was sold at the transfer window in January, which means that a midfielder was already needed.
According to the Mirror, Tanguy said, "Yes, it's true that Tottenham is an excellent team.
"This is a big club, they finished fourth in their league, they reached the final of the Champions League, they are still a big club like any other.
"Which player would not be interested in a big club?"
It is clear that football in the Champions League is important for Ndombele and therefore makes the efforts of Manchester United even more difficult.
The Solskjaer team has only the Europa League football to offer, but its ability to pay high salaries to young people could still attract it.
Tottenham is also known to be short of money, so he may not even be able to bid on Tanguy despite his "coming for a plea."
