Milan Skriniar is ready to extend his contract with Inter Milan, according to a report.
It is expected that the United States will add a center back to their ranks this summer after Jose Mourinho's failure this summer.
The Slovak star is linked to an abandonment of the San Siro club since last summer. United would be among the headliners for his signature, but their hopes fade away.
Corriere dello Sport claims that the Nerazzurri have reached an agreement with Skriniar to renew his contract with the club until 2023 with only the signatures, which means that the extension is a mere formality.
It seems that the 23-year-old and Inter have reached an agreement for a one-year extension until 2023 with an immediate increase in his salary.
Skriniar, who currently has a season of 1.7 million euros, will see his salary almost double to 3 million euros per year, plus bonuses, while the new agreement will not include a release clause.
Apparently, the club was not interested in adding one in his contract and Skriniar himself did not insist on getting one.
A recent report in the Daily Express, Skriniar could be made available for around £ 63 million – having not yet signed a new contract in San Siro.
