Kuala Lumpur: Eight teams have discovered their opponents for the next qualifying phase after the official draw of the AFC U-19 Women's Championship in Thailand, in round 2 of the 2019 qualifier, at AFC House on Wednesday.
For the final phase of qualifying, eight teams were split into two groups of four teams, with the group's winners and finalists joining Thailand, the host country, the defending champions of Japan, the DPR of Korea, and public relations. China in the final in October.
Australia, which aims to return to the final after finishing fourth in the 2017 edition, will attempt to build on a solid performance from the previous round – one that scored them 23 goals and conceding no goals – against Uzbekistan, host country Myanmar and Nepal, who are applying for a second appearance in the final of the AFC U-19 Women's Championship, are in Group A.
Meanwhile, in Group B, Vietnam will host the Republic of Korea, double champion, not to miss any edition, as well as the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon.
Qualifiers for the second round will be played over three match days from 26 to 30 April.
