The Ministry of Roads and Highways has closed a section of Legon-Okponglo Road as a result of the collapse of this part of the road.

In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, the Ministry of Roads and Highways explained that the situation resulted from a burst of a pipe under the road, resulting in the collapse of this part of the road .
"The ministry wants to inform the general public that engineers from the department of urban roads have badessed the situation this morning [Tuesday] and based on their badessment, this section of the road will be closed tonight from 10 pm so that work can begin, "the statement said.
"The works will involve, first and foremost, the replacement of the pipeline, to allow residents to have access to potable water, and then the existing materials in the soil will be removed and replaced. the soil will be compacted before scaling, and the whole process will take about a week, "he added.
"We urge all road users to be cautious when approaching this section of the road and to respect all road safety measures."
