Tesano police catch motorcycle thief

Imoro Shaibu was arrested by Tesano police for allegedly attacking and stealing a man from his motorcycle.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Effia Tenge, head of the public affairs unit of the Accra Regional Police Command, told the Ghanaian News Agency in an interview in Accra on Tuesday.

She explained that on November 28, 2020, around 1914 hours, Shaibu and his accomplice (now at large) hired the motorcyclist service of Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Tesano.

DSP Tenge said that upon arriving at Tesano Bungalow, Shaibu and his accomplice all fired guns at the victim / complainant and seized his royal motorbike with registration number M-20 R 7795 worth 3,800 GH ¢.

They then fled with the Okada and on Sunday January 3, 2021, at around 3 p.m., the complainant spotted Shaibu at the Agblogbloshie market and caused his arrest which he also turned over to Tesano Police for investigation.

She said he was currently in custody to help with further investigations.
