Company missives discouraging leaks are not new. Apple in particular is reputed to inform the staff of the consequences of leaks. For Tesla, however, there is a certain sense of urgency in the face of such warnings. The company is facing financial headwinds and there is no doubt that many leaks are affecting consumer and investor habits. A successful effort to limit leaks would not guarantee success, but would reduce the number of unexpected factors affecting Tesla's bottom line.
