NEW YORK (Reuters) – A federal judge on Thursday ordered the US Securities and Exchange Commission and Elon Musk to meet over the next two weeks in an attempt to resolve the issues underlying the contempt motion. of the regulator against the CEO of Tesla Inc.

US District Judge Alison Nathan, in Manhattan, said she could decide whether to keep Musk in contempt if the two sides failed to reach an agreement.

The SEC accused Musk of having scorned the journalist for his February 19 article on Twitter, which would violate the regulation he had reached in October 2018 with the regulator.
