Thai National Health Offers Free Testing for Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C

BANGKOK – Now that tests are free, people all over the country are urged to be tested for hepatitis B and C in hospitals. The National Health Security Authority (NHSO) confirmed that the universal health system covers treatment for these diseases.

Hepatitis B and C tests will be provided in 79 hospitals from August 5th to 9th, an NHSO official said Friday.

Dr. Rattaphon Triamwichanon, said the free screening was jointly organized by the NHSO, the Department of Disease Control (DDC) of the Ministry of Public Health and the Thai Association.
