21 Savage's mother makes a statement following her arrest.

Savage is likely to be deported after his arrest yesterday by the US Immigration and Customs Service in Atlanta. The ICE spokesman revealed that he was in fact a citizen of the United Kingdom, which surprised many because of his close ties with Atlanta. His management, friends, family, and fans came together to show their support for the rapper. Her mother recently went on Instagram to make her own statement about her arrest.

21 Savage's mother talked about the rapper's arrest in her Instagram narrative. She did not give details of her case, but she asked for her freedom while sharing her disappointment with the people who made jokes and shared memes about the situation.

"It's a shame that we live in a world where people thrive and feed on negative energy … laugh at those who face real life challenges, fighting for their lives and their freedom … are fed up! will see! This too must happen[.] Free 21 Savage, "she wrote.

Savage's two parents were examined under the microscope via the internet after the rapper's arrest. Earlier in the day, pictures of his mother with a British accent were aired, further proving ICE's claim that he would be from the UK. 12 years before moving to Atlanta.
