The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) has released the official team of this year's Copa America tournament, to the exclusion of Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.

The captain of Albiceleste was snubbed despite the fact that his country finished third in the tournament. Messi's personal Copa was eclipsed by his expulsion in the third-place match and his remarks accusing Conmebol of being corrupt after Argentina's semi-final defeat of Brazil.
Five stars of the selection made their choice, which was chosen by a group of technical studies of Conmebol after the hosts won their ninth Copa America title without defeat in this year's show.

Brazil has had a new look at the awards ceremony. Dani Alves was named Tournament Player, while Alisson Becker proclaimed the Golden Glove and Everton Soares lifted the Golden Boot.
As a result, it is not surprising that many of them end up on the Copa America team and their teammates Thiago Silva and Arthur join them.
Peru, finalist, has two players in the team, namely left-back Miguel Trauco and striker Paolo Guerrero.

Swedes Jose Gimenez, Leandro Paredes of Argent, Arturo Vidal of Chile and James Rodriguez of Colombia were also selected.
