The 2019 Oscars reveal that the categories will be cut off from the live show and that people will not be happy

The 2019 Oscars have already been the subject of controversy over his lack of hosting when Kevin Hart retired due to previous tweets, but another problem with the ceremony arose.

Four categories of the awards ceremony will not appear in the live stream as they will be featured during commercial breaks.

Rewards that should not be presented are: Best Photography, Best Editing, Best Live Short Film, Best Makeup and Hairstyle.

The Academy apparently seeks to shorten the show by not presenting the 24 awards in 3 hours, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This decision, however, provoked a brutal reaction from film fans and industry personalities to the Oscars.

Guillermo del Toro, Oscar winner of The Shape of Water, tweeted his frustration with the move.

"I would not suggest which categories to cut at the Oscars", tweeted del Toro, "but – cinematography and editing are at the heart of our business.

"They are not inherited from a theatrical tradition or from a literary tradition: they are the cinema itself," added the director.

More and more fans have also used Twitter to lament the cuts.

However, according to The Hollywood journalist each category is voluntary so that its prices are presented in this way.

The academy has 17 different branches covering each area of ​​expertise, and six of these branches have volunteered to fill these positions, four of which have been chosen.

The awarding of praise will always be broadcast at a later point in the broadcast, although speeches may change over time.

These categories will be presented next year, with different awards in the commercial breaks of this ceremony.

The 91st Academy Awards will be held on February 24th.
