Manchester United has advanced negotiations with Lille to sign Nicolas Pepe, according to reports.

Arsenal and Liverpool are suing Pepe and the French media claim that the Premier League duo has filed offers for the striker.

Aged 24, he is one of the most in demand strikers this summer after his impressive season for Lille where he scored 22 goals in Ligue 1.

Lille wants more than £ 70 million for Pepe and the Times claims that United has started talks to sign the scorer.

United has been interested in Pepe for a long time and last week he intensified his interest in the Lille star.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to add quality and new characters to his team. United is also pursuing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

United is preparing to collect a large transfer fee for Romelu Lukaku, after rejecting an offer from Inter for £ 54 million for the attacker.

The Manchester club wants to get closer to 75 million pounds for Lukaku, but will use the funds raised at the sale to sue Pepe.

While Lille is eager to bet on Pepe, the player has not yet indicated which side he wanted to join this summer.

Pepe is on vacation after attending the Africa Cup of Nations this summer.

Only Kylian Mbappe (33) scored more goals than Pepe in Ligue 1 last season, while the winger caught the eye of several big clubs.

Pepe is interested in La Liga and Serie A and Paris Saint-Germain has also been invited to attack his French rivals.
