Chaotic scenes emerge from the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, while another fire explosion at Asafo's market prevents the city from sleeping.

This is the second fire on the market in less than three days.

Erastus Asare Donkor of Luv FM, reports that nearly 30 stores located in the central part of the market have caught fire, which rages with anger.

He added that the firefighters' efforts are greatly hampered by the fact that the area is largely inaccessible.

Firefighters had to use the upper deck of a building under construction near the place of the fire to fight the hell,

Smoke plumes emanating from the fire compounded poor visibility at the scene.

A firefighter almost fell from the unfinished building but he managed to hang on.

According to Erastus, many traders have invaded the market by carrying their goods safely, exacerbating the chaos Sunday wet.

On Friday, part of the Asafo market caught fire, destroying many market stalls.

The clothing section of the Kumasi Central Market also burned – the fire consumed entire stores – which reduced their ashes.

Market fires, especially in Ghana's largest hub, Kumasi, are fairly common and often have serious consequences, as many traders do not operate much.

Market congestion makes them more susceptible to fire – the same factor that explains the inability of fire departments to fight these fires when they occur.
