Diabena's Church of the Assemblies of God, where Ruth Love Quayeson was kidnapped, ended 14 days of prayer and fasting, seeking God's face to bring her and two other missing girls back.

Ruth, 18, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, and Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 15, were reportedly kidnapped on December 4, 17 and 21 of last year, respectively.

According to Andrew Awhaitey, senior pastor, the church has closely followed the evolution of history with fasting and prayers.

Rev. Awhaitey, interacting with the Minister of Women's Welfare and Social Welfare, Cynthia Morrison, said on Sunday that prayers were working well.

The minister had gone to the family of abducted girls in the morning to comfort him and rebadure him of the determination of the governments to do everything in his power to help the missing girls.

Before the Minister's visit, a member of the police administration, headed by the Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department, DCOPMaame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, made a similar visit to the families of the kidnapped girls.

Pastor Awhaitey urged the Minister of Gender and the police to do everything in their power to find the missing girls.

He revealed that the church had started fasting and praying for Ruth Love Quayeson when news of his abduction had reached the church.

He added that when the suspect was first caught, the church hoped the girl would return but their hope was short-lived when the suspect escaped from his cell.

According to the pastor, the church has begun a new round of prayers for the return of the girl and the suspect.
