The awakening of Solskjaer's Man Utd pleases Scholes – who is aiming for a monstrous search in Mourinho

According to Paul Scholes, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made his club Manchester United supporters, after describing the football played under the eyes of Jose Mourinho.

Former United striker Solskjaer hopes to win the match for the eighth consecutive victory against Arsenal after being replaced by Mourinho last month.

Scholes, who made 718 appearances for the club in a brilliant career, was asked about how the Mourinho teams played and categorically described it as "s *** e".

However, the 44-year-old said the return of former teammate Solskjaer – "loaned" from his usual position as manager of the Norwegian club Molde – had been a breath of fresh air and had revived the whole club.

"It's great to watch," said former international international Scholes. "I think everyone has had the buzz again and everyone has a smile on their faces. Since the return of Ole, you have the impression that you have recovered your club.

"You never have the impression of having lost it, I suppose, but it's as if you had someone on the ground who knows United, because he was a player. You look at Ole and he's a United man. I know he's worked in other clubs, but he's a United man. You will feel almost at home.

As an badyst at BT Sport, Scholes regularly criticized his former club under Mourinho. He insists that he could not hide the truth and was trying to trick the fans into thinking that everything was fine.

"Obviously, the way they played and how it went was not ideal, but you can not pick on crooked players," he said. "You have to say how you feel and what you think, most of the time, the games I watched were bad."

When asked if Solskjaer was now a real candidate for the job permanently, Scholes replied, "I think we'll see him at the end of the season.

"It's amazing what he's done so far.

"Can he continue? We will just have to wait and see. Arriving at the end of the season, is he in the top four and is he fighting for the Champions League? The FA Cup? Then we will know more. "
