It's going to be a hut of love, baby
The B-52s have announced plans to make a farewell tour of the UK this summer.
The group formed in October 1976 after a badtail shared with a fiery volcano at Hunan Chinese restaurant. They released their first self-titled album in 1979, produced by Chris Blackwell via Island Records.
The group, best known for their hits "Love Shack" and "Rock Lobster", will play five dates, debuting at Gateshead Sage in Newcastle on June 29 before finishing at Manchester O2 Apollo on July 3rd. sale at 9am on March 29th. You can buy tickets here.

The group is also working on a documentary and its first official book. Last year, the group celebrated what they called their 40th birthday by co-hosting a North American tour with Boy George & Culture Club and Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins.
Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi has already appeared on a handful of songs from Kate Pierson's first solo album, Guitars and Microphones, in 2015. The singer has also written several tracks with Sia, who produced the album.
Valensi's group will feature the All Points East London Festival later this summer.
