A food service worker has tested positive for hepatitis A in Spring Hill, confirms the Hernando County Florida Department of Health. And we are now learning that local students might have been exposed.

The worker who tested positive is an employee of the Silverthorn Country Club restaurant in Spring Hill, according to health officials. The Department of Health warns that the employee could have clients exposed to the restaurant between April 12 and April 30, 2019.

The Hernando County School District informs families that teens from Springstead High School and Central High School have attended restaurant specials during this time.
