The Barcelona signature qualifies as urgent, planning transfers has gone wrong

The Catalan media have been saying for a while that central defense is not an area in which Barcelona badly needs.

Matthijs de Ligt is undeniably connected and it sounds like a transfer that could take place, but it was thought to be more of a luxury than an immediate necessity.
