Columbus, Ohio – The Syracuse Basketball team on Wednesday beat No. 16 Ohio State 72-62 at the Value Center Arena. The Orange has improved to 4-2.

Syracuse had by far its best shooting night of the season. The Orange, who entered the game with 23.3% of points on 3, made 45.8% of his three shots against Ohio State.

Ohio State took 22 points to 3 against Syracuse on Wednesday night. The Buckeyes made six (27%).

The worst situation

Syracuse had two players, Oshae Brissett and Bourama Sidibe, with three fouls in the first half. Syracuse, as a whole, was whistled for 13 fouls in the first half; Ohio State made six fouls in the first half. The Buckeyes were 9 out of 14 from the free throw line in the first half. SU shot 3 out of 4.

The fouls did not improve as the game progressed. Before the end of Wednesday's match, Frank Howard, Marek Dolezaj and Bourama Sidibe had all escaped.
