The best photos as Liverpool starts pre-season with Tranmere's 6-0 defeat

Liverpool started their pre-season with a complete 6-0 victory at Tranmere Rovers on Thursday, as Jurgen Klopp's men returned to the game with style.

After a well deserved break, the newly crowned European champions went to Prenton Park, hoping to start their summer well.

Klopp has named two separate starting liners for the game, to give the players present a good result – and the fans to discover some new faces.

The new recruit, Sepp van den Berg, however, has watched closely that the youngster is still waiting for FIFA's approval before making his debut.

Rhian Brewster, one of the Reds' most prominent youngsters for years, quickly sent his goal home, allowing him to take a well-deserved record, putting his team 3-0 in the net.

The next step for Liverpool is a trip to Bradford City on Sunday afternoon, before the Reds leave for their tour in America.
